How to Make a Google Review QR Code for the Correct Business

Find the correct Google review-request link, turn it into a QR code and invite honest feedback without incentives or review gating.

A review form with unselected rating stars next to a clearly identified business QR card.
Use the correct review-request link and invite honest feedback without prescribing a rating.

Quick answer

Copy the review-request link from the correct Google Business Profile and paste it into QRNest's Rating tool. Test that it opens the intended business’s review journey. Invite genuine feedback without rewards, pressure or filtering customers by whether they are happy.

A directions link is not the same as a review request

A link to a map listing can help a customer find your shop. A review-request link is intended to help them leave feedback. Start with the specific action you want instead of assuming any URL containing your business name will produce the same result.

For a multi-location business, confirm the branch before copying anything. Put the branch name or address on the printed card as well. A customer should be able to recognize which business they are reviewing before they follow the link.

Google's review-link instructions direct profile managers to their Business Profile, then Read Reviews and Get more reviews. Copy the review link offered there. Google also provides its own downloadable review QR code in supported desktop-browser workflows; QRNest is an optional way to create an image from the copied link.

  1. Open and confirm the intended Business Profile.
  2. Copy the review-request link from Google's sharing controls.
  3. Open the address in a separate browser session or on another phone.
  4. Check the business name and location before proceeding.
  5. Paste the public HTTPS link into QRNest's Rating tool and generate the code.
  6. Scan the downloaded file and a printed proof. Do not submit a fake review as part of the test.

The customer may need to sign in to Google before posting. Explain the action plainly rather than promising an instant, account-free review. QRNest does not publish reviews, bypass sign-in or control Google's moderation.

Ask for honest feedback consistently

A neutral invitation might read: “How was your visit? Share your experience on Google.” It explains the destination without prescribing a rating or a script. Give people time and space to decide whether to respond.

Google's Maps contribution policies prohibit incentivized reviews and selectively soliciting positive reviews. Do not offer discounts for reviews, require a five-star rating or send only satisfied customers to the public review form. A private support channel can be available alongside an open review invitation, without using it to screen out negative feedback.

Make the card useful at the point of contact

PlacementUseful detail to include
Receipt insertThe business name and a short neutral invitation
Counter displayA visible action label and an accessible alternative
Follow-up emailA clickable review link, not just an image to scan
Multiple branchesA clear branch identifier on every asset

Keep the QR code away from busy artwork and test it on the actual paper or sign material. Provide a readable link or another workable route for people who cannot scan. If a shortened address is used, document who maintains that redirect.

Check the destination after business changes

A printed static code retains its original link. Recheck existing materials if the business moves, profiles merge or ownership changes. Save the approved link beside the artwork file so a future team member can verify the code without reconstructing the setup.

Common questions

Can a review QR code guarantee more reviews or a higher rating?

No. It removes a navigation step for customers who choose to respond. Their experience, willingness to write and Google's systems determine what happens next.

Does the Rating tool create the Google review form?

No. It encodes the review URL you supply. Get the correct link from Google first and keep responsibility for the profile and request process with your business.
